crystal blue sky and sweet scent of roses...

that climb around my house waft perfume through windows whilst I am sewing. Actually grouting ! not sewing has been the order of the day so far. Some of my new singing birds have been taking shape and part of this is a small piece of ceramic mosaic, hence the grouting.  Once dry birds have stitched tail feathers rather like fluffy bussels and little cloth arms attached by linen buttons. I thought I have been rather neglectful of my blog so today I have a few photographs to share with you. Not long until the big exhibition in Shire Hall so lots of things need to be sewn , painted, stitched, sanded and generally buffed up before the big day ! so her for your delight are some swatches and samples of rare fabrics included in my work.....
